A production of "The Dover Road" by A. A. Milne will be staged by director Kathy Reed with The Upstart Crow Theatre Company, premiering as part of the company's 44th theatrical season. While A.A. Milne is most famously known for his creation of the beloved character "Winnie The Pooh", he was also writer of humorous sketches, novels and plays, with this one premiering in 1922.
The Dover Road is described as a comedy about marriage, and the titular road leads to Paris and divorce. Set in the home of the eccentric Mr. Latimer, he waylays couples who are running away together to give them a taste of what their lives together might be like.
Joseph has recently joined the cast as "Joseph" (!), a footman who works alongside his brother "Jacob" under the supervision of Dominic, Mr. Latimer's butler. The Dover Road runs from August 22nd through September 1st at the Carsen Theater in The Dairy Arts Center in Boulder, Colorado.
